Great to find out more about the field By H. Mirza I checked out this book at the library and got some great information on the event planning industry and the different career paths I could go into. It also has suggestions on the kind of university programs there are to help further your career. It’s a great resource, and i just bought my own copy.

Looking for Event Planning Career Options? By Shirley Fine Lee If considering entering the field of event planning, then this book provides help in determining what type of job title may be the best to pursue. “Opportunities in Event Planning Careers” provides job descriptions and potential salary ranges for the hospitality industry, corporate positions, and self-employment options for event, meeting, or wedding planners. The book also provides options for training and associations to join to continue to grow in the event planning field. However, it does not provide a how-to guide for doing a good job. Use this book to decide if this type of career is right. If it is right, then consider the training options provided to learn the job or go for an on-the-job experience at a hotel, convention center, or corporate department to actually learn the necessary skills.
